Hey, everybody. Just got back from doing my grocery shopping and look what I got, pumpkin pancake mix and a vanilla pumpkin candle. What does this have to do with your marketing? A lot. Now, in full honesty, I was actually trying to record this video in the store because the shelves were just full of pumpkin everything. I think there was coffee, even potato chips, cookies, candles, you name it, there was pumpkin everything. The point is that, everybody gets excited this time of year for the pumpkin spice factor. Companies come out with all different types of pumpkin flavored items. That’s because they use the concept of scarcity marketing.

You see, you can only get these pumpkin spice or pumpkin flavored items, one maybe two months out of the year. So, you look forward to it, you buy more than you originally would, and you pay a premium price. Ironically enough, these items could be available year-round and then there would be no big deal to it, but because of the pumpkin spice factor and using scarcity marketing, you can only get these items for a limited time. Think about how you can leverage the power of the pumpkin spice factor and incorporate that into your marketing. Make something so special for a limited time offer so that you’re leveraging the power of scarcity marketing.

Leave me a comment below what you’re going to do to leverage the pumpkin spice factor.
