Are you looking to have more profits in your business and more cash in your pocket? Then I have three words for you today.

Hi, this is “Small Business Stacey”. Welcome to this week’s edition of Marketing in 2 Minutes or Less.

Now, I’m sure you want more cash in your pocket, more profits in your business. There’s three words that can do that for you: raise your prices. Now, you’re probably thinking, “Stacey, I can’t raise my prices.” Listen, you can raise your prices and I’m going to show you how I did it in my business and doubled my profits.

Just a few years ago, I added a new services where we started renting out tiki bars and it came about because someone actually asked to rent one. I had never done it before and I didn’t know what to charge so I threw a number out there and the person said, “Oh, yeah. We’ll take it,” which made me realize my pricing was probably a little bit too low. On the next call, I raised it and I actually ended up raising it four times until I started hearing no. You want to hear no and then you’ll know you’re at the right price point. For me, that allowed me to double my profits because I was happy settling here but I was able to raise my prices and go here.
