Hey, everybody. Small Business Stacey here. There’s only one thing you need as a small business owner to grow your business. This, a Band-Aid. Why? Because when people get a boo-boo or have pain, they put a Band-Aid on it, right? You need to be the Band-Aid. You need to be the Band-Aid that fixes your customers’, clients’, and patients’ pain. I just brought on a new client. I’m going to be helping him build out a sales funnel to launch his new golf program. He is going to be teaching people who want to be like weekend warriors in their golf game how to do certain exercises that will help them beat their friends.

Now, when he first came to me, I asked him, I said, “Well, who is this training program for?” He was like, “Oh, for any golfers.” And I was like, “No. We need to be something for someone. So we need to help you become a Band-Aid and we are going to define the who and what pain they have.” Because you can’t be everything to everyone. You can’t serve all golfers. But if you can find out what the pain points are of certain golfers, maybe women golfers, maybe left-handed golfers who suck at their short game, whatever it is, we’re going to do the research to help him find the perfect who so he can be the Band-Aid.

So where are we going to do this? We’re going to look in Facebook groups. We’re going to research different forums and associations. We’re going to be going to Quora to see what kinds of questions people ask about this topic. A great place to look, actually, is Amazon. Look at the reviews, but now the positive reviews. Actually look at the negative reviews, the one- and two-star reviews. Because people will then tell you sort of what the pain is, like why the product didn’t solve their problem. Wink, wink. How to be the Band-Aid, right? So that way, you can tailor your product or service just for that niche. All right? So be the Band-Aid. Define your perfect who and then it’s easy to tailor your solution to make the boo-boo and the pain go away. All right?

Leave me a comment below how you are going to be the Band-Aid in your marketing.
