Marketing in 2 Minutes or Less: Small Business Marketing Made EZ – Get Into A-C-T-I-O-N NOW! Part 4 – Invest
What does this package of spaghetti have to do with your marketing plan?
Spaghetti, great for cooking, great for eating, not so great when it comes to thinking about where and how you’re going to spend your money on marketing. See, this is how most small business owners approach it. They take the spaghetti, and they throw it at the wall with no rhyme or reason where or how they’re spending their money.
In my book, “Small Business Marketing Made Easy,” I lay out the action system so that you can get your marketing into action literally and figuratively. The “I” in the action system stands for invest. What I’m talking about when I use the word “invest” is making smart decisions based on metrics so that you know what’s working and what’s not.
Most small business owners look at marketing as an expense, a line item on their financial statements that looks like money is just going out the door; but when you follow my action system, you’ll be making smart investments in your marketing that will make your business so much more successful and profitable.
Buffett’s Only Two Rules For Investing… Rule No. 1: Never lose money. Rule No. 2: Never forget rule No.1.
