Marketing in 2 Minutes or Less: Small Business Marketing Made EZ – Get Into A-C-T-I-O-N NOW! Part 3 – Transactions
Is your business set up as a revolving door?
Many small business owners I talk to, have their business set up as a revolving door. You know what I mean, customers in, customers out, customers in, customers out. It’s a revolving door because they’re only focused on the one time sale. As soon as that customer, client, or patient is gone, they’re focused on where their next one is coming from. If you want to build a successful and profitable business, and I know you do, you need to implement the ACTION system. In my book, Small Business Marketing Made EZ, I layout the ACTION system, so you can get your marketing into action literally and figuratively.
The T stands for Transaction, but not the kind that I just alluded to. You see, a transaction could be any point along the customer journey. It may be somebody who just opted into your free report. It may be somebody who just wants to receive your blog posts. It may be somebody who wants a quote. There are many touchpoints along the customer journey and each of them are a transaction. There’s a great quote from Dan Kennedy that says, “You don’t get a customer to make a sale. You make a sale to get a customer.” That’s what the T in the ACTION system stands for. Those many touchpoints along the way, so that you ultimately build a customer for life.
You don’t get a customer to make a sale. You make a sale to get a customer.
