Hey everybody, Sami (my dog) and Small Business Stacey here with today’s Marketing in Two Minutes or Less. Do you have a strong foundation?

Today I wanted to actually have a visual demonstration but I just could not find anything to make it work. Maybe you guys can help me through this process. Have you ever heard of the game Jenga? Or some of those games where you’re like building blocks and blocks and blocks and trying to pull one out without it falling. The person who makes it fall over, loses. That is the visual that I want you to have in your mind today because that’s what so many small business owners do. They build, build, build their business. All of a sudden, boom, it collapses because they don’t have the business foundational pieces in place.

The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.

Zig Ziglar

As we go into 2019, I want you to have a strong foundation. Now in the next two weeks you’re going to find that a lot of gurus are out there preaching to you to get more, more, more, more, right? I’m telling you not to do that. If you don’t have your foundation in place, getting more is not going to help. It’s going to actually make it worse. You need to make sure you have your back office in place. You have marketing systems and processes in place so that you have a strong foundation. Truly, the best foundation that you have are the current clients and customers and patients that you’re already serving, all right? Sorry I didn’t have the visual today, but go get the game Jenga or any of those building block games and consider each of the pieces the foundation of your business. When you do that, it will be strong and nothing will crash it down. All right? Have a great day everybody. Sami, come on. We got to go do some marketing.
