It’s about finding the problems a specific audience struggles with and then offering a solution.

It’s about LISTENING to what they complain about every day.

The things that people view as “problems” run the gauntlet of possibilities … everything from a hang nail to a golf swing to a chronic disease. These problems are things that people are actively looking for help to solve.

A good way to find out what people consider a problem is to visit online forums. People talk about anything and everything online. They discuss subjects that they wouldn’t talk about with their best friends for the simple reason that they can remain anonymous. They look for solutions online for the very same reason. By visiting forums and taking note of what people are most concerned about you can then customize your products and services that will help them solve those problems. Consider it a research project. Listen to what they’re talking about, the words they use, the challenges they struggle with.

That’s why I created the Daily Deals for Massive Profits Training Program. I went online to “listen” to what people were saying about Groupon. It wasn’t good. Small business owners were struggling to make their deals work and no one was teaching them how to do it correctly. DING DING!!! I had had great success in running a daily deal – actually it was the key strategy that took my business from $500K in debt to a 7-figure profitable business. I started posting questions in online forums to better understand their needs and challenges and also to see if they’d be willing to pay for a training program. The answer was an overwhelming YES! So I took what I did, what I learned and packaged it into an online training program that small business owners can access at their convenience. I found a niche of small business owners who wanted to know how to run a Groupon correctly so they would get more customers and make more money.

You can do the same. Just listen to what the customers, clients and patients you want to serve are struggling with. Then provide a solution. It’s the best way to “be something for someone.”
