The three Ms to super-power your marketing.

Ask any small-business owner what they want, and they’ll say they want more: more customers, more clients, more sales, and more money. I bet you do, too.

The challenge is is that I hear so many small-business owners saying they’re struggling, that they’re not getting more paying customers, clients, and patients, and they’re having a hard time marketing their products and services. I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way.

There’s only three things you need to focus on to super-power your marketing. The three Ms: market, message, and media. Those are the only three things you have to focus on to super-power your marketing.

When I talk about market, I’m talking about your who. Who do you service? Not being general, because you can’t be everything to everyone. You want to be something for someone, so you want to focus on defining your avatar and your niche.

The second M that will super-power your marketing is message. Once you’ve defined your who, who you serve, then it’s a lot easier to develop a message tailored right to them. People will feel that you resonate with them and that you understand them, and they’re going to want to do business with you.

The third M is media, and that’s where you’re going to place your message. This is not ant marketing, like doing what everybody else is doing, putting a print ad here or doing a sponsorship there. Those things don’t work, but once you know where your avatar is, where they hang out both online and offline, and you tailor the message to them, you’ll know what media is going to resonate.

All you need to do is focus on those three Ms: market, message, and media. That will super-power your marketing.
