Is your goal a four-letter word?

Hey, Everybody, it’s that time of year again, when we’re all sitting down and mapping out the ambitious things that we want to accomplish this year, but I’m going to be transparent with you. The word, goal, to me is like a four-letter word. It’s something that I was never really good at doing, and it never really seemed to motivate me, but I came up with a solution.

I want to thank my client, Ruth Malkin, who sent me this, a book called “My Bucket List”, where I can write down all of the things that I want to accomplish, because when you think about it, when you think about a bucket list, that’s something that can get you really excited, whether it’s for business, or for personal, because you want to achieve it. You want to cross it off the list.

No try, just do

I’m going to share with you today my business, and my personal, bucket list key items. On the business side, I’m really passionate about helping 10,000 small business owners earn seven figures, or more, in the next three years, and I want to encourage you to be part of my community in achieving that. On the personal side, I really want to go to a Super Bowl. Not only do I want to go to a Super Bowl, but I want to go to a Super Bowl where the Washington Redskins go, and win. Now, the way they’re playing now, I may never get this off my Bucket List, so, I may have to modify it a little bit and just be able to go to a Super Bowl. That’s my business and my personal key bucket item lists. Now, those are some things that I can be really excited about, whereas, instead, if I called it a goal maybe not so much so.

Now, I’m going to share with you some key things that I’ve started out in this book that I want you to write down and answer these as you get started in planning your bucket list. The first is, my story right now. Write down, where are you right now, dreams fulfilled so far, something I regret, what I love about my life, I want to fulfill my Bucket List because, and, I think I’ll start by ticking off _____. Then, right down some things that are on your Bucket List.

I would love if you would share with me in the comments below. What do you think? Is it more motivating to have a goal or a Bucket List? I’d love to hear from you, and whether it’s your goal or your Bucket List, go ahead and share with me below what’s on your list for this coming year.

Small Biz Stacey, you make a really interesting point. Never really thought about goals vs bucket list, but I do tend to focus more on doing things on my bucket list I guess. Love to hear more about what others think on this topic.
