How are you incorporating the Christmas spirit into your small business marketing plan?

Hey everybody! I am in my disastrous kitchen, but that’s okay, I’m in a great mood today because it’s Christmas. I’m cooking brunch for my family, and it seems like everybody is in a great mood today. Actually, for the whole holiday, it seems like everybody has figured out how to put human back into humankind.

Now, why can’t it be like this every day? Where people smile, and say hello to each other, and do nice things, write hand-written cards, give little gifts of appreciation? These are lessons that small business owners can really learn from, and incorporate what I call “the Christmas spirit” into their marketing plan. You see, you don’t need a lot of money or all these fancy gadgets to make your marketing plan work. You just need a little Christmas spirit.

I talk about this in Episode 65, where you can do just two simple things: smile and say hello. Or something simple, like, picking up the phone and talking to someone, sending a hand-written card, or acknowledging them on their birthday or anniversary with a hand-written card or a trinket. Little things like this go a long way in making people happy and wanting to do business with you.

So, as you are working on creating your marketing plan, think about how you can incorporate the Christmas spirit. I guarantee you, your results will be stronger than you ever expected. Leave me a comment below, on what you are going to do, to incorporate the Christmas spirit into your small business marketing plan.
