Marketing in 2 Minutes or Less: 2 Things Every Good Marketing Plan Should Have
Two simple things that bring the biggest results in your marketing.
Hey, everybody! Small Business Stacey. I’m on my way back from the grocery store, and I wanna tell you what just happened. How I ended up getting a $1200 catering job.
I did it by doing two things. Smile and say, “Hello.” While I was waiting in line, I decided to do those two things. Smile and say, “Hello,” to the person behind me in line. And in doing so, I learned that the woman was a teacher who was waiting to pick her son up from soccer practice, and she was buying groceries for her mom who was just getting out of the hospital.
She engaged in conversation with me, asking why I was buying so many bananas and ice, for which I explained to her that I was doing it for an upcoming catering job that we had for smoothies. Well she was very interested, saying that she was looking for exactly that for her son’s upcoming bar mitzvah. And she wanted to have us come in and set up a tiki bar with smoothies. It’s gonna be a $1200 job. All that I got just from smiling and saying, “Hello.”
Doing these two simple things are the easiest way for you, as a small business owner, to get more business. So stop thinking that you’re just gonna text and send an emoji to people and get business. You, as a small business owner, need to get out there and do these two things: Smile and say, “Hello” to people.
So as you’re putting together your marketing plan, don’t worry about incorporating all of these digital marketing strategies, and doing 10,000 different things because the reality is, you’re not gonna do it. But if you can do two simple things, smile and say, “Hello,” you will get business.
That’s my challenge to you. I want you to get out there, smile and say, “Hello,” to someone, and let me know in the comments below how that works out for you.
