Google wants you to make an appointment. If you’re a small or local business owner, I bet that you want to get found in Google Search. Well, I have great news for you. Google added a new feature to help you do that, where you can book an appointment online. Let me show you how that works. I’m going to share my screen with you. Let’s say that I am looking to make an appointment at a dentist, and I’m searching online, and I find this dental, Mirelez Wellness Dental. This area on the right-hand side is called Google Graph Search, and you want to make sure that you are being found here, because there’s a lot of great information that will show up, and the newest feature that Google added is “Make an appointment.”

Now, you have to set this up in Google My Business. I hope you’re set up on it. If not, go to … Let’s see, Google … No, business.google.com, and make sure that you set up an account — hopefully, you already do — and go in there and manage your account. So let me show you, for example, maybe you’re not a dentist or somebody who truly makes appointments, but this is in a dessert shop, and they have the opportunity to show their menu in Google Graph Search. So this dessert shop called Dolce and Bean, they’re in the Graph Search, so that means they have a Google My Business account, and they have a lot of good information, their reviews, and stuff like that, but look at all these missing links. They can add a menu link, a reservation link, an order ahead link, and that all needs to be done in Google My Business.

Now, let me show you where you do that. I’ve logged in to my Maui Wowi Google My Business account, and if you go to the Info tab and scroll down under the website information, based on what type of business you are, you’ll see different types of links that you can add, and all you need to do is edit the area and add the appropriate links. This is a great way to help you get found in Google Search, and Google rewards businesses that are getting found, and users have a great experience. Love to hear how it’s working out for you.
