The one best marketing strategy you can do this year . . . .

Small business owners are always asking me, “Stacey, what kind of marketing should I be doing this year that’s really going to grow my business?”

I have one answer for you: VIDEO.

Video is going to be THE marketing strategy of 2017.

You may be wondering, “How can I incorporate video into my marketing?” Well, since we’re limited for time here, I’m going to share a few strategies with you today and make sure that you opt in so next week you get the additional strategies as well.

The first thing I want to tell you about video is that, “Get over yourself.” Everybody’s always nervous about doing video, that, “Oh my God, I’m going to be nervous in front of the camera.” Get over yourself. Yes, in the beginning it’s going to be uncomfortable and your videos are going to seem awkward, but I did the same thing when I first started.

Just get in front of the camera, talk for a few minutes, do 10 videos, I challenge you to do 10 videos. You don’t have to publish them. You don’t even have to share them. I guarantee you that after you do 10, each one will get better and better.

The second strategy that I want to share with you is look, you’re going to mess up. I mess up all the time. What you’re going to want to do is run to the camera, turn it off and start over again. I want you to do the opposite. Just stay in front of the camera and when you mess up, just stop, take a breath and start over from where you were. God created something called an editor. I have “Digital Dave” who does the editing of all my videos and for my client’s videos as well. When you mess up, you can just do a transition like this.

The third strategy I want to share with you today is if you’re going to film video on your camera, remember that the person watching it is watching it on a screen. You want to record 1920 by 1080, which means it needs to be wide versus tall. A lot of my clients when they start doing video, they’ll send me videos where they’re recording like this because it just sort of seems natural that you’re tall. When you record, record in landscape. Otherwise, when we produce the video, there’s a lot of black space around it.

There’s your three strategies for this week. Get started with your video. If you mess up, just keep going and record landscape not vertical.

This is “Small Business Stacey”. I’m here to help your business grow to seven figures and more by helping you become a #SmallBizMarketingWiz. See you next week.
