A new way to get better conversions from LinkedIn.

Hey, everybody. Small Business Stacey here. Today, I want to share with you a new feature that was just released from LinkedIn. I hope that you are using this social media platform. I love the way it allows you to connect with people and businesses. Now, in LinkedIn you can have a personal profile, but you can also have a LinkedIn Company page as well as showcase pages. So, showcase pages are pages that may have to do with extensions, or lines of business, or departments. Each of these pages gives your business additional visibility and exposure. The newest feature that they just released is a call to action buttons. For example, if I go to my Small Biz Marketing LinkedIn page, this is my company page, everybody used to only have the option to follow you.

What LinkedIn just released are these call to action buttons. There are five of them. So, if you go to your LinkedIn company page, click the edit button, you’ll see that you can choose from contact us, learn more, register, sign up, or visit website. The nice thing is that you can customize these buttons for each, quote unquote, page that you have. On your main company page you may just want to have them visit your website, but on a LinkedIn showcase page that may be more specific to a certain product or service that you offer you could have them contact you ,or maybe you’re offering a webinar or a program where they can register or sign up. This new feature has the ability to … and they’ll also give you analytics and tracking on this. So, you’re going to have much better data and knowing the conversions and what’s working on your LinkedIn social media strategy.

We’re living at a time when attention is the new currency. Those who insert themselves into as many channels as possible look set to capture the most value.

Even more exciting is that every quarter LinkedIn will be coming out with a new feature and additional enhancement to the platform. I am really excited about this new feature, because social media is great for social, but ultimately we want to use it to convert, and that follow button just didn’t really allow people to do that. Now, with this new feature, just go into your page, click whatever conversion that you use, and start looking at your LinkedIn analytics to see what’s working.
